Hey everyone!
I'm looking for a fic I've read a while ago but forgot to bookmark it and to memorize its name :( I hope someone can help me find it!
It's an "aliens made them do it" story, in which Jack and Daniel are locked in a white room, together with unending food and water supplies. Once in a while, colourful lights appear on the walls and some kind of sound sets in, both of which have an arousing effect on the boys. I think there was even some kind of 'reward' involved once they figured everything out and started to admit their mutual attraction.. until they were rescued anyway.

I would not live there. If I didn't know about it, I'd be fine, but I wouldn't want to live there. It's sort of like how some houses are just more attractive to burglars because of their position from the street, bushes out front, or something intangible that just makes a bad guy think, "I could rob that house..." Even though it's illogical to apply the same principle to murder, I think it would be difficult for me not to see it that way.

Also, I don't like dead people or dead bodies, and I wouldn't like to think that one had ever been in my house. This is also illogical, but there you go.

I don't believe in ghosts, spirits, or anything remotely like that, so if people told me the house was haunted, I wouldn't believe them.

OTOH, I do believe that if I kill a spider, somehow all the other spiders in the world find out about it and want to get me.

I am clearly insane.

Why This Must Be Read: This is largely a Radek story, and a "Radek thinks about Rodney" story, but its beauty is really in the fact that it feels difficult and confusing, which is easy to imagine in a relationship between these two men. Also, the story is told with only one word of dialogue , and that not one of much consequence, and it is easy to imagine, despite Rodney's continual chatter, that a relationship between Radek and Rodney would be much the same. A largely silent understanding but likely filled with so many things that remain unspoken. Here we see Radek's feelings, his unspoken things, and two men who come together, in a way that the reader could almost imagine is a kind of deep affection, if not love, though nothing of the kind is ever voiced aloud. An excellent short read, especially when you're not looking for a shmoopy romance, or steamy sex, but rather something a little bit more true to life.
